About the speaker:

Joe Guo (郭震洲)
Dr. Guo, currently a Risk Director of JPMorgan Chase, has more than twelve ye
ars experience in Credit Risk Management and Consumer Banking.

He started his banking career with a large super regional bank and built Deci
sion Science Function for its consumer lending business. At that capacity, he
made numerous enhancements to a variety risk management areas including scor
ing strategy, fraud management, portfolio limits, prepayment management, stre
ss testing and collection strategies. He came to Asia in 2005 and managed the
regional Credit Cycle Function for a Fortune Fifty company of its Asia credi
t card business in four markets. During the consumer lending crisis of Taiwan
in 2006-2007, he led the rescue effort and built an asset management busines
s to process the distressed debt.

He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the George Washington University and an M.B.
A. from the Cornell University.
